Yoga Union, Flat Iron and Chelsea
In the immediate neighbourhood of Yoga Union, people have been without power or heat since Monday evening. After the stress and confinement of these last days, Yoga Union, which miraculously escaped the black-out, has been providing New Yorkers with a serene haven. People have been and continue to be welcome to re-charge electronics, take a shower and bring their own mats to do self-practice or take class in a clean, warm environment, re-charging in every way.

The schedule is regularly updated at www.yogaunion.com and www.yogaunionbackcare.com.  It is important to check regularly, as not all classes can be covered by the few teachers who live nearby or have bikes (and come in from Brooklyn!).

UPDATE:  Thanks to the folks at Yoga Union! – their successful benefit today raised funds for Occupy Sandy Relief ! Go Yoga Union!
