Antonio Tizapa is the father of Jorge Antonio Tizapa Legideño one of the 43 students that disappeared while being in the Police’s custody on September 26th, 2014 in Iguala, Mexico. While the holiday season is always painful for many immigrants who fear for their families in Mexico, this year is particularly difficult to Antonio Tizapa who has been looking for his son for more than a year, and for the hundred of thousands of victims of the ongoing violence in Mexico. What I see is a MASSIVE, well-equipped, aggressive police force showing en masse anytime a freeway is approached, a large portion of the march keeping them on guard, as an even larger portion of marchers outflank police and pour over indefensible barriers and scramble over 7-8 ft walls to the freeway.
