Stéphane Hessel, writer and inspiration behind Los Indignados, Arab Spring and Occupy movements, died Tuesday, February 26 in Paris, at 95.
His short 2010 manifesto, “Indignez-Vous!,” was published just as Spain’s 15th of May protest movement began gathering steam. These protests, along with the Arab spring uprisings, inspired protests in other countries and the Occupy Wall Street movement in the United States and around the world. Continue reading
