As you probably know, our friend and comrade Cecily McMillan was brutally arrested at Zuccotti Park on March 17, 2012, on the eve of Occupy Wall Street’s sixth-month anniversary. An NYPD officer grabbed her breast from behind, after which her arms flew up in the air and backwards as the body’s natural reaction to being physically and sexually assaulted. The police then beat her until she lost consciousness and began to seizure. They are now charging her with felony assault of a police officer, which carries a sentence of up to 7 years in prison.

Her case has undergone a series of delays for nearly two years while she has awaited her appearance in court.

The address of the Manhattan Criminal Court is 100 Centre St. Part 31, Room 1333.

All of Cecily’s Court dates are from 9:30am to 4:30pm on:

Thursday, February 13th
Friday, February 14th

Wednesday, February 19th
Thursday, February 20th
Friday, February 21st

We would love your support if you are able to attend. However, in the interests of keeping Cecily out of prison (unruly folks can jeopardize her case) she and her lawyers ask that everyone who comes wear proper business casual attire and sits quietly and respectfully during the entire trial. A compilation of videos documenting her seizure and arrest have been uploaded to the Justice for Cecily YouTube channel, but please be advised that these films contain graphic material and strong language that might not be suitable for a younger or sensitive audience.

Thank you so much for your support!
