For Immediate Release:

The American Occupy movement and Occupy Oakland in particular has endorsed political asylum for Juilian Assange, a principal of WikiLeaks. Free speech is under attack around the world around the clock. Defense of free speech is an eternal task of citizens and journalists. In brief, the below urge the UK to not interfere with the extradition of Julian Assange to Ecuador.

Accusations directed toward Mr. Assange are part of a global conspiracy to silence him and other activist who seeks for the truth through alternative media, instead of the corporate media which is the mouthpiece of the elite capitalists.

We are unified in support of September 15th as International Solidarity Day.

We will not be intimidated. We are legions united. Even now our voices are reaching millions throughout the world, millions of despairing men, women and little children, victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people. To those who can hear us we say, “Do not despair.”
