Occupy Connecticut at Weston is preparing a proposal to the Selectmen of Weston, Connecticut to endorse a resolution to overturn the Supreme Court ruling in the Citizens United case.

This case gave permission to those with billions like major corporations and super-wealthy individuals to make unlimited contributions to political campaigns.

This ruling exacerbated the already vast inequality of income and wealth between the 99 percent and the 1 percent by corrupting the political process and taking away the power of the people to choose and influence their legislators and laws.

Occupy Connecticut at Weston, CT, was organized in November, 2012, to arrest and correct the growing inequality of income and wealth among the citizens of the United States. The overturn of the Citizens United case is first on our action agenda.
