Antonio Tizapa is the father of Jorge Antonio Tizapa Legideño one of the 43 students that disappeared while being in the Police’s custody on September 26th, 2014 in Iguala, Mexico. While the holiday season is always painful for many immigrants who fear for their families in Mexico, this year is particularly difficult to Antonio Tizapa who has been looking for his son for more than a year, and for the hundred of thousands of victims of the ongoing violence in Mexico. Laurie and Debbie have collaborated on Women En Large: Images of Fat Nudes, with Laurie’s photog​r​aphs and Debbie’s text, on Familiar Men: A Book of Male Nudes, with Laurie’s photographs, and text by Debbie and others, and on Women of Japan, a photographic suite focusing on beauty and identity of women of various ethnicities who live in Japan.
