Call to Action: Support Bhopal Gas Disaster Survivor-Activists!
On February 10th, 2014 survivor-activists of the Bhopal gas disaster, who have been non-violently fighting for justice for the past 29 years, will appear in a Mumbai court because the Dow Chemical Company, the company responsible for the Bhopal gas disaster, is suing them!
Please show your solidarity by sharing the call to action images, and posting on Dow Chemical’s Facebook and Twitter pages, asking “You say your values are integrity, respect for people and protecting our planet–What about Bhopal? #dowcleanupbhopal”
This video is a response to Dow Chemical’s “The Human Element.” Dow is responsible for the ongoing disaster in Bhopal, India, which has caused the death of an estimated 25,000 people to date. While Dow will be enjoying goodwill and recognition through their Olympic sponsorship contract until the year 2020, Bhopalis continue to suffer disease and drink poisoned water. This video seeks to show the truth behind Dow’s attractive but deceitful propaganda as seen in “The Human Element,” and provides viewers with a way to act and demand justice.
